Since the opening of The Shops at Wiregrass, trying to exit The Shoppes at New Tampa to proceed south on Bruce B. Downs has become more challenging. Today, Kevin Wiatrowski of the Tampa Trib reports that a new traffic light will be installed on Bruce B. Downs at Williamsburg Drive. Since the opening of The Shops at Wiregrass, trying to exit The Shoppes at New Tampa to proceed south on Bruce B. Downs has become more challenging. Today, Kevin Wiatrowski of the Tampa Trib reports that a new traffic light will be installed on Bruce B. Downs at Williamsburg Drive. As much as I hate to see another traffic light on BBD, this one is needed. I stopped shopping at that Publix as a result of there being no southbound exit without going through that cluster of an intersection.
Yes, it is more difficult to get out of that shopping center these days, especially when headed south on BBD. These days I usually exit the center onto SR 56 to the east and then make a U turn to head back toward the BBD/SR 56 intersection.
