This park is a joke. They are asking skateboarders to pay 4 dollars per 2 hour sessions. Where do they suppose us teenagers are supposed to get that kind of money. That is rediculous. On top of that they expect us to where full pads including helmet, knee pads and elbow pads and if they knew anything, they would understand how pads acutally cause you to fall more because it throws of your balance and comfortabliity while skating. Building this skatepark is like making an all electric car that drives terrible and is super expensive, its a tease and isnt reasonable. 4 dollars a session, are you serious? I mine as well keep paying 6 dollars a sessions for 5 hours at skatepark of tampa. Atleast they understand skateboarding and are somewhat reputable. Thanks again for the tease New Tampa Community Center, its always great having something nice come along but not being able to access it.

The fee is most likely there to control the amount of kids who actually use it. It it was free, there would definitely be way too many people trying to using it for long periods of time. Four dollars for 2 hours is bad for you, but you probably have no problem paying 7 or 8 dollars at Muvico for a 90 minute or 2 hour movie? What about the large amount of money most kids spend on their skateboard and skate shoes? Ask your parents.

The equipment is required to cover Tampa from any liabilities; if someone gets injured, the city is not going to be held responsible.

Not to mention, Skatepark of Tampa is a pretty good drive from New Tampa ;) (gas costs...).
