Pasco County Commissioners approve changes to Wiregrass Ranch plans

The proposed changes to the 5,000 acre Wiregrass Ranch development in Wesley Chapel were approved by Pasco County Commissioners this afternoon.  The plans now include:

• The Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch--a new Pasco-Hernando Community College campus on 60 acres of land adjacent to Wiregrass Ranch High School.  Construction is projected to start in 2012.
• The Wesley Chapel Medical Center, an 80 bed hospital to be located just north of The Shops at Wiregrass.  (Expect ground breaking to occur soon.)
• 480 hotel rooms
• 12,000 homes
• 300,000 sq. ft. sports complex,  government office town center, & career center
