While much of the attention lately has been on the BIG 3 new Wesley Chapel area malls and New Tampa’s Market Square, another commercial development is underway in New Tampa. The Cypress, located at County Line Rd. and Bruce B. Downs is a planned shopping center with retail and office space. Their site plan shows a 38,000 sq. ft. Sweetbay, a 42,000 sq. ft. LA FITNESS, Hungry Howie's Pizza, Five Guys , and salons.
Ground breaking is expected within the next month and a projected grand opening in March, 2009.
