Road construction on the extension of SR 56 from BBD to Meadow Pointe Blvd. could begin as early as March 10th according to local papers. The three mile extension will take up to 18 months for completion. The widening of BBD in Pasco County to S.R. 54 should begin this spring too, making the BBD / SR 56 intersection the largest in the county and reported to be the second largest in the nation, with triple left turn lanes in each direction.
