Distressed Homes For Sale—Short Sales / Pre-foreclosures, and Bank Owned Properties


This week I attended a seminar presented by the Greater Tampa Association of Realtors ® that dealt with “short sales”, pre-foreclosures, and bank owned properties. The seminar was “sold out” with seating for the 125 realtors® in attendance.

Of course, you have all heard something about “short sales” / Pre-foreclosed homes, and bank owned homes and what a great deal you can get. A few things you may not be aware of:
1. It can take weeks or months to get an answer back on an offer to purchase.
2. The homes are almost always sold “AS IS”. This means, no repairs will be made by the seller.
